Word of the day

Occasionally, a word crosses my mind that I latch onto. It becomes a reoccurring thought in my mind and themes seem to drift in and out of my life that match up with the word. It's so cool!

Sometimes I understand what the word means, but sometimes it's a word that I have to look up in the dictionary to understand fully.

To my knowledge, this started about 5-6 years ago with the first word. Faith.
I spent a good deal of time reading about Job then. It was probably the first time I sat and read and meditated on scripture. It was a time in my life that God took everything I had away from me, leaving me totally dependant upon Him. It was the toughest part of my life I have yet to experience, and I am utterly grateful for it. It meant God cared enough to correct me. (that being said...I'm glad that time is over with. I'd be happy to share some of the crazy patterns that followed- 2 stints in county jail for Josh{I must add...it was for unpaid traffic tickets!}, no food in my house to feed my kids with, living in a home without power for a week, being thrown out of our place of living with no where else to go, being falsely accused and threatened...it was horribly messy!)

The next word I remember was Perseverance. (which oddly enough is always really hard for me to remember how to spell!) Things were coming back up for my family, but it was a struggle to maintain. We were constantly having to retrain all the old habits, and develop unending faith that would not shake. It was a character transforming process, slow but steady. During this time, I was lead to a passage of scripture, James 5:11 that says "You have heard of Job's perseverance and seen what the Lord finally brought about" This was so comforting to me, and completely amazing to me as well, since I just randomly opened my bible to read one day, and came to the only other place in the entire bible that mentions Job, who I still hold onto as the Champion of my life.

There have been other words, ....Love, Patience, Admonish, Yeshua, Accoutrements, and most recently, Perspective.

I don't really have a witty point here, just that I want to thank God for communicating with me in such a powerful way throughout my life...with just a single word.
How is God communicating to you?
